MEFEWELL P Suspension is a Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID) medicine used to relieve pain associated with acute musculoskeletal disorders such as sprains, strains, injuries, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, etc. It also relieves dental pain and headache. It helps to relieve pain and cramps during menstrual periods. It may also be used to treat fever in children.

Uses
What is it prescribed for?
Acute Pain

This medicine is used to relieve acute pain associated with sprains, headache, sports injuries, spasmodic pain, dental pain, post-operative and post-partum pain. It may also be used for the treatment of mild to moderate pain associated with conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, gout, etc.

Dysmenorrheal

This medicine is used to relieve pain and cramps associated with menstrual cycles.

Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis

This medicine is used for the symptomatic relief of juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, a common type of arthritis that causes joint pain and swelling for more than six weeks in children aged 16 or below.

Pyrexia

This medicine is used to treat fever in children.

Dosage
Missed Dose

Take/Administer the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed dose.

When Not To Use
Allergy

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to mefenamic acid or any other components present along with the formulation.

Other allergic conditions

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with allergic conditions such as asthma or urticaria since it may worsen the patient's condition.

Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery (CABG)

This medicine is not recommended for use before or after a CABG (coronary artery bypass graft) procedure since it may worsen the patient's condition.

Severe liver impairment

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with severe liver diseases due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition.

Severe kidney impairment

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with severe kidney diseases due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition.

Gastrointestinal bleeding

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a history of gastrointestinal bleeding since it may worsen the patient's condition.
